100% of donations are pooled into our commissioning fund, which pays contributors. Overheads are covered by the shop and a small group of patrons.

We are not a registered charity in every jurisdiction. We provide a receipt for every donation; deductibility depends on your country.

Yes — at any time, from a single link in your monthly receipt. No questions, no friction.

Do sponsors influence editorial?+
No. Sponsorship terms are agreed in writing before any reporting begins and disclosed on every published piece.

Rarely, and only when it is clearly labelled as such and editorially independent from the newsroom.

All apparel and homeware is made by partner workshops across the continent — Accra, Nairobi, Cape Town, Marrakech.
